James E. Altmeyer, Sr.
Chairman of Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory, resides in Wheeling, West Virginia. He is the son of the late John D. Altmeyer and Evelyn Keeley of Wheeling. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in Wheeling, and from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, in 1961. After serving as a Major in the United States Army, Jim resigned in 1972 and returned to the Ohio Valley.
For over 20 years Jim served as President of Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory, serving families in Ohio, West Virginia, and Virginia. He is an active member of many civic organizations, including the board of directors of Wesbanco, Wheeling Hospital, and the American Legion Home Corporation. Other memberships include the VFW, Rotary Club, and the Serra Club. Jim currently serves on the Consol Energy Inc. Board of Directors, and as a civil service commissioner for the Wheeling Fire Department. He is a past president of both the Fraternal Order of Police Associates and the Oglebay Institute. From 1974 through 1976 Jim served as a member of the West Virginia House of Delegates. He was also the first president of the West Virginia Veterans Memorial Commission.
Jim is married to the former Edith Stoney, and they have four children: James E. Altmeyer, Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA; Joanne Altmeyer High of Charlottesville, VA; Cameron Altmeyer Walsh of Washington, DC; and Charlotte Anne Altmeyer of New York, NY.
James E. Altmeyer, Jr.
President of Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory, graduated from Villanova University in Philadelphia, PA, in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. In 1989 he graduated from Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science with an Associate's Degree in Mortuary Science. Jim and his wife, Jocelyn C. Altmeyer, have two sons, Simon Cameron and James Elijah and a daughter, Justine Virginia.
Jim says, "Being a part of the Altmeyer Funeral Home organization is a great experience. This is because of the excellent group of individuals who make up our team. These people strive to give the same service they would expect for their own family. This is why we believe our standard of service is so high."
Vice-President of Treasured Memories working with both funeral home owners and pre-arrangement counselors throughout the United States. A Pittsburgh business graduate, Karin began with the Altmeyer Family in 1991. She has been an integral part of the Funeral Pre-planning Division of Altmeyer Funeral Homes and was inducted into the highly prestigious Circle of Excellence in 1996 and 1998. She holds her insurance license in WV, OH, NJ, PA, MD, NE, DE, SD, and FL.

Karin and her husband, John Angius, live in Wheeling and have two children, Katie Anne an Jesse Angelo.
Rick and his wife Debbie have three grown children and two grandchildren and live in the Warwood section of Wheeling. A lifelong resident of Wheeling, Rick began his career in funeral service with the Altmeyer family in 1974. He graduated with honors from Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1977 and is licensed as a funeral director in both West Virginia and Ohio. In addition to his duties as Vice President of Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Rick is also Vice President of Treasured Memories, a funeral home membership company serving independently owned funeral homes throughout the United States.

Gary lives in Baltimore, MD, is a 1985 graduate of Gannon University, Erie, PA with a B.S in Business Management, and formerly worked 18 years for funeral service companies owned by Hillenbrand Industries. Gary’s professional training is in both at need and preneed consulting having been a Sales Consultant, Regional Director, and currently a Regional Manager. These positions have given Gary core competencies in the areas of developing strategic business and marketing plans, sales forecasting and tracking, financial analysis, consultative selling, regulatory compliance, staff training, development and compensation, and funeral home continuous improvement.

Vice President Pre-Need
Erin is a native of Portsmouth, Virginia, and has been in funeral service since 1991. He is licensed in Virginia and Maryland. Throughout his career, he has worked in almost every component of funeral service, including at-need, pre-need, funeral home management, and as an account executive working with member funeral homes. He now focuses on leading the pre-need program for our firms and creating innovative best practices.

Erin resides in Westminster, MD with his wife, Jessica and children, Jack and Catherine. In his spare time, he enjoys his children’s sports and spending time with his family. Erin is a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Glyndon, Maryland.
Business Intelligence Analyst
Terri Galbraith has been with the Altmeyer Corporation since 2002 assisting with many different job duties throughout the company.
Terri is a graduate of Wheeling Park High School and attended West Virginia Northern Community College.
Terri is a lifelong resident of the Ohio Valley and resides in Wheeling with her daughters Erika and Kelsie and grandson, Brayden.
Terry joined the Altmeyer Funeral Homes in 1998! She is the office manager for Treasured Memories and the Pre-Arrangement Department.
Terry graduated from Wheeling High School and received an Associate Degree from West Virginia Northern Community College.
Terry is the Director of Ohio County Special Olympics, a member of Bethlehem Apostolic Temple Church, Elks Club Deborah Temple #125, NAACP, and the Civitan Club.
She is a lifelong resident of Wheeling residing with her husband Larry and son Larry Jr. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and grandchildren.
Susan E. Perry
Treasured Memories Outreach
Susan is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in the state of Virginia. She joins us as the Vice President of Outreach after serving as an Outreach Director in Coastal Virginia for 7 years. Her passion is advocating the value of funeral professionals and enhancing their role in the community. She is focused on the development of programs and resources in the area of outreach. She is a member of the NFDA, VFDA, TFDA, ICCFA, NHPCO, VHPCO, and the Coastal Virginia Task Forces on Aging. She actively serves on the board of directors of the Lorraine Bethea Hospice Foundation, the Salute to Caregivers Committee with SSSEVA and volunteers for the Medical Reserve Corps. Susan is the founder of the Grief Support Alliance, in which community leaders collaborate to extend grief resources to those that need it. She also continues to serve families on request and is an Insight certified life celebrant. She lives in Virginia Beach with her family.
IT Project Manager
Jamie joined Treasured Memories in 2015 and has served as the IT Project Manager for the entire Altmeyer organization since 2013. He first studied web design and internet technologies at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh before earning his associate degree in computer information technology with a concentration in programming and database design at West Virginia Northern Community College.
Jamie lives in Wheeling with his wife, Stephanie. They have two daughters, Rylie Amelia and Dylan Avery. He is a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish and is active in the Wheeling Area Hockey Association both as a player and as a coach and mentor to the association’s youth players.
